As a regular at MOTION Business Bay (and self-confessed Spin addict), I was curious to see how the brand’s newest studio would feel in a completely different setting. MOTION Mercato Mall sits in Jumeirah – a different side of the city with a super chic aesthetic inside. It felt like the perfect place to see how MOTION translates outside of my regular routine.
First impressions
Mercato Mall immediately sets the tone. It’s relaxed, bright, and easy to navigate, and the studio follows suit. Inside, the space feels clean and considered, with soft lighting, arched mirrors, and a minimalist palette that’s calming and good for the ‘gram... It’s recognisably MOTION, just with a slightly softer edge.
The class
I took a Sunday 11am class, one of my favourite times to ride, and it delivered MOTION’s signature energy, a great workout, and familiar playlists. The same candlelit studio, rhythm-led programming, and instructor presence kept the session immersive and focused. It was challenging, but never overwhelming, which is why MOTION continues to be one of my favourite Spin classes in Dubai.
Music and movement are tightly synced, and the pace feels intentional, mixing climbs, fast jogs, and runs. If you’re a seasoned spinner or new to it, it’s the kind of class that keeps you locked in from start to finish.
Post-class reset
This is where the Mercato Mall location really stands out. The changing rooms are so gorgeous! They’re aesthetic, well-lit, and thoughtfully finished, making it easy to take a moment before heading back into the day. Dyson hair tools, premium L'Occitane shower products, and good lighting make getting ready feel effortless rather than rushed. Perfect if you’re heading to work or have plans afterwards.
There’s also an on-site Juice Bar, which turns the post-class moment into part of the experience. You can pre-order your drink or choice before your class so it’s ready when you’re done.
